Oh, and don't bother stealing my work. There's nothing here to steal. They're all shit artwork.
|The most recent additions to my favourites mostly range in my choice of drawings of highly detailed designs that are specified.|
About three weeks ago I attended my first PAX event. When it was first announced, I asked my dad to buy me a pass for Saturday because they got video games there and I loved video games.
When I went there by train, from my hometown just about 20km north east of Melbourne to the city, and then switching the train that goes to Showgrounds (it stopped at Flemington, then went back to Showgrounds because there was a horse race). I was really excited. :bademoticon:
Arrived at PAX, showed my ID and my learner's (I don't drive at all- yet ) and I got in. Armed with a camera, knowing that I would find some people cosplaying, I took some photos of different cosplays from different video games, chiefly from League of Legends. When I went to the stall area, there were stalls from different companies, TAFEs (for non-Australians, TAFE is basically a combination of both a community college and a tech school), and retailers that sell geek apparel and posters, not to mention comics.
But alas, I did not bring my 3DS with a Pokémon game, because there was a Pokémon tournament. But all that sadness was lost as I get to play the demos for the latest Nintendo games. But the queue to play these games (I did not tried the Mario game with a cat power-up until much later) is really long. So I went off, and lo and behold, Riot Games, the maker sof League of Legends, have a large stall. I attended and watched the first video game tournament for League of Legends in Australia! I was really, really, really excited! There was a crowd of a thousand watching the match.
However, the problem with the demo games the video game publishers put out is that they are often crowded with lots of people, and I don't like waiting forever to play the edited version of Saints Row IV while there is something else on. And since I came at noon, I did not see the Xbox One.
Bought a pizza for lunch, and it was expensive.
At around six o'clock at night things are getting dark and everything is just finishing up except for the panels and other seminars they have which I could attend but was full . I went home, and with it, a Minecraft poster that I purchased and a few goodies that I plan to give to my friend who just dropped out of uni and wanted to do another subject.
For what it's worth, I wanted to go back in 2014, as they will be here again then. If I have the money, I could attend PAX Prime in the U.S., and possibly the unrelated-but-always-full-of-cosplays Comic-Con.
